Evangelist Billy Graham Rejected For Pentagon Prayer Service, Right or Wrong?

by admin

Evangelist Billy Graham has been rejected for the Pentagon’s Prayer Service.  This comes as a shocker, but it is true.  What is the reason for the madness?  Is this the proper thing to do?  Not quite.  Here’s why…

Graham, the son famed evangelist Billy Graham, in 2001 described Islam as evil. More recently, he has said he finds Islam offensive and wants Muslims to know that Jesus Christ died for their sins. – a direct quote from MSNBC as the reason for Graham’s dismissal by the Army

Okay, so the truth is that Jesus Christ did die for the sins of all man, not just a particular group.  Therefore, this makes it extremely important for Evangelist Billy Graham or any other evangelist who believes on Jesus just that same way to speak and pray at the Pentagon. Jesus is the Savior who forgave every single person who has sin.  That means, everyone.  Period.   There is no one that falls outside of that umbrella.  Those who want sins forgiven and washed away have that chance, through Jesus.

It’s called a will and testament.  Just as in today’s society, things are carried out after the death of an individual that was the will of that dead person. The same is so with Jesus. With his death on the cross, Jesus was able to take curse off of everyone. Then he rose on the third day in glory and honor. Jesus is the One chance at life, for everyone if they take hold of Him while they live.

The Pentagon says that Billy Graham’s language of calling Islam evil inappropriate.   What about looking at Jesus Who is appropriate for all mankind?    The Bible says that there is One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism in Ephesians.   Billy Graham nor any other Christian can ignore this.  God’s word is true, and there will be clashes as Jehovah God of the Bible makes no exceptions to His law.  That being said, it’s the faith of a Christian that despite what is called evil, it is who we love beyond evil…just as Jesus did…and that is everyone.  Jesus is who came to fulfill, or complete, the law – remember that?  In that law is love.

Just as the Bible says in the old testament, God spoke about rejection to Samuel, the prophet:

1 Samuel 8:7
And the Lord said to Samuel, Hearken to the voice of the people in all they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not be King over them.

Something to think about.  Sure, another evangelist can come ans speak no problem, but what if Jesus came to speak?  What would He then say?  Again, think.
