Since when has prayer ever hurt a soul, who knows, but the National Day of Prayer that was ruled unconstitutional is now being challenged by our very own President Barack Obama and his administration. As a matter of fact, US District Judge Barbara Crabb says this is “a call for religious action”, according to the Sun Times.
The notice was filed on April 23rd challenging the decision which made the National Day of Prayer unconstitutional with 24 members of Congress backing it up desiring an appeal.
For many years now, atheists have planted firm attacks on religious practices and how they feel the constitution is flooded with Christian ideals. The United States is currently still mostly a Christian society, however, more and more people are going to a belief that centers around nothing spiritual, but more evolution or atheism. The problem with this, as stats in Europe can confirm, is that for the most part depression and suicide has skyrocketed in those countries who have no faith. It has been stated and studied that their lives seem empty.
Their lives seem empty because that is what it truly is. A physical body without a fed spirit eventually ends up like the walking dead. It’s like a house with no family…no life inside of it. Prayer is essential to life as it is direct communication to God, the Creator, of all mankind. Without it, we all become deaf and void of knowledge and life.
